Really real?

The hospital just called. I'm supposed to be there at 11:30 a.m. tomorrow for my 1:30 p.m scheduled surgery.

My husband just texted to see how I'm feeling. My Mom has called. My two best friend's have e-mailed to see how I'm doing. I'm sort of weirdly calm. This has been such a long process (and it really hasn't even started) that it's kind of amazing that it's going to happen. Hopefully. No jinxes please. Still struglling with the if/when thing.

Please, please let me wake up. Please, please let it go ok. I joked to my husband that I was going to write a note in magic marker on my stomach to my surgeon - Do a good job! I have so much to live for! Ok, maybe I am a bit nervous.

See you on the other side! (Fingers crossed)

  1. You are going to be fine. I'm getting ready to start my 2 week pre-op diet and have dinner with my family tonight to tell them the news that I'm having the surgery. Can't wait to hear from you when you're a bandster.

  2. Just breathe, hun. You are going to do so great and will wake up just fine! We all have these sorts of worries (it is surgery after all!), but just know you will do AWESOME!

It's totally normal to be nervous and weirdly calm at the same time (or at least it was for me :)).

    Here's to a speedy and pain-free recovery!

  3. Sending good vibes your way honey!! You will be fine!!! This is the best thing you could do for yourself!! I remember on day of surgery saying to myself if I don't do this the risk ahead is far greater if I continue on the way I am, I knew I was doing the right thing and this brought on a sense of calm, it just felt right!! Can't wait to see you on the other side Hun!! Thinking of you! Much love Kelly xxx

  6. I'm sending you best wishes for tomorrow! I was really surprised when I woke up from surgery to find that it had been so much less of a big deal than I thought! I hope you'll feel the same way. :)
